Fast 100 Jahre auf dieser Welt und damit habe ich alle überlebt die mir etwas bedeuteten,immerhin blieben mir noch meine Kinder und die Enkel. Womit habe ich das verdient und warum kam es so,wie es gekommen ist.
Als ältester der 3 Kinder meiner Eltern wurde ich in dem geschichtsträchtigen Jahrhundert der Kriege geboren.Armselig war unser Leben in einem kleinen Dorf in den Sudeten,selbst Brot war bei uns Mangelware. Um der Misäre zu entfliehen übersiedelten wir in das deutsche Reich nach der Hauptstadt Berlin.
Der Krieg kam und ging,wir überlebten alle.Als Soldat kämpfte ich an der Ostfront und kam in russischer Gefangenschaft erst nach fünf harten Jahren wieder frei.Sowohl mein Bruder als auch ich beendeten danach Mitte der 50ger Jahre unser Studium.
Für mich begann eine erfolgreiche Kariere als Musiker,Orchesterleiter und Komponist.20 Jahre bereiste ich mit meinem Ensemble Europa,danach wurde ich Unternehmer in Deutschland und Spanien. Mit 58 Jahren übergab ich meine Geschäfte an meine Kinder und segelte Einhand um die Welt.Nach meiner Rückkehr nahmen wir,meine Frau und ich,unseren Wohnsitz in der Schweiz.Dort verstarb nach 55 Jahren Ehe die Mutter meiner Kinder,meine Lebenspartnerin,nach langer schwerer Krankheit.

Almost 100 years in this world and I have outlived everyone who meant something to me, at least I still have my children and grandchildren.
What have I done to deserve this and why did things turn out the way they did? As the eldest of my parents three children, I was born in the historic century of wars, our life in a small village in the Sudetes was miserable, even bread was in short supply. To escape the misery, we moved to the German Reich to the capital Berlin.
The war came and went, we all survived, I fought as a soldier on the Eastern Front and was released after five hard years in Russian captivity.Both my brother and I finished our studies in the mid-50s. I began a successful career as a musician, orchestra leader and composer and travelled Europe with my ensemble for 20 years, after which I began a career as an entrepreneur in Germany and Spain. At the age of 58, I handed over my business to my children and sailed single handet around the world. After my return, my wife and I took up residence in Switzerland.There,after 55 years of marriage, the mother of my children my partner, died after a long and serious illness

Casi 100 años en este mundo y he sobrevivido a todos los que significaron algo para mí, al menos aún tengo a mis hijos y nietos. ¿Qué he hecho para merecer esto y por qué las cosas han salido como han salido? Como el mayor de los tres hijos de mis padres, nací en el siglo histórico de las guerras, nuestra vida en un pequeño pueblo de los Sudetes era miserable, incluso escaseaba el pan. Para escapar de la miseria, nos trasladamos a Berlín, la capital del Reich alemán.
La guerra llegó y se fue, todos sobrevivimos. Yo luché como soldado en el Frente Oriental y finalmente fui liberado tras cinco duros años de cautiverio en Rusia.Tanto mi hermano como yo terminamos nuestros estudios a mediados de los años cincuenta.
Comencé una exitosa carrera como músico, director de orquesta y compositor. Recorrí Europa con mi conjunto durante 20 años, tras lo cual inicié una carrera de empresario en Alemania y España.A los 58 años, traspasé mi empresa a mis hijos y di la vuelta en solitario al mundo en barco. Tras mi regreso, mi mujer y yo fijamos nuestra residencia en Suiza. Allí,después de 55 años de matrimonio la madre de mis hijos, mi compañera, falleció tras una larga y grave enfermedad.
